Pictures taken during a
shooting session on 04/10/06

On 04/10, I went out for an afternoon of shooting. The wind was blowing hard, with gusts to over 15mph. The purpose of the shoot was to make sure that the L1A1 actually went BANG when the trigger was squeezed. I had my digital camera with me, and I got 2 15second movies of me shooting the L1A1. During today's shooting session, I had the following weapons with me:

Shooting distance for this afternoon was approximately 35 meters. I had to quit after just one hour of shooting, because the wind was blowing my bullets away from my point of aim, and kept knocking the target over. So I didn't send as many rounds downrange as I wanted to. As always, you can right-click on the images below to view the full size image, and use your browser's back button to return to this page.

The L1A1

I arrived at my shooting range a few minutes after 1pm and set up a target for myself

This was the target after the first 5 rounds I fired from the L1A1

This was what the target looked like when I finally packed it in. 2 33rnd 9mm magazines, 20 rounds of .308Win, 5 rounds of .30-06, 25 rounds of .30cal Carbine and about 50 rounds of .22LR.
