Okay, here they are the inevitable rules...yep you knew there had to be some.  IRC can be a wonderful place to meet people from all over the world.  In order to make NEW-Enterprises IRC Network a safe and fun place for all users we have set the following guidelines.

Terms of Use:

By logging onto a NEW-Enterprises IRC Network server you agree to follow our Terms of Use Policy.  If you do not agree to these terms please terminate your connection to the network.

Denial of Service Attacks
 
No Nuking or Out of Bandwidth Illegal operations will be tolerated. If you are found to be engaging in Denial of Service Attacks you WILL be banned from the Network . Denial of Service attacks are illegal and punishable by law.  NEW-Enterprises IRC Network will cooperate with all ISP's and law authorities in investigating denial of service claims.
 
Pedophile,  Advocation of Hate, Terrorism,  Illegal Activities 

No Channels will be allowed to be registered for the purpose of engaging in or encouraging Pedophilia, Advocation of Hate, Terrorism or Illegal Activities.  Any channel found to be engaged in such activities will have their registrations dropped and the channel owners will be banned from the network.

Channel Takeovers, Abuse of Services

These activities will not be tolerated on this Network.  NEW-Enterprises IRC Network provides an IRC services package to allow users to register their Nicknames and Channels.   Any user found to be engaged in a channel takeover attempt or attempting to abuse this networks services will be removed from the network.

Advertising

Mass advertising (spamming) is not acceptable on this Network.  Commercial advertising without the permission of the management of this network is not acceptable. Spammers will be banned from the network.

Channels will not advertise other IRC networks in their topics, however channels that have moved from NEW-Enterprises to another IRC network may reference their new IRC network location via the use of the channel memo service available in MemoServ.

Clones

Each user may have up to 3 connections to the Network.  If you are connecting from a location where multiple users will have the same hostmask please stop in #freedomusa and talk to a server admin, we will make exceptions to this rule on a case by case basis.

IRC Operator/O-Line Begging

Please do NOT ask for IRC Operator status or an O-Line.  IRC Operators are chosen by the Server Admins.  They are people that the Server Admins trust and feel can handle the responsibility.  Yes that's right "Responsibility".  Becoming an IRC Operator is not a "status" symbol.  NEW-Enterprises's IRC Operators are volunteers, they have volunteered to help other users, and to help maintain the network as a safe and fun place to chat.  Repeated O-Line begging will absolutely guarantee that you will not receive an O-Line.

Harrassment

Harrassment of other users and NEW-Enterprises staff will not be tolerated. This includes but is not limited to abusive or harrassing channel topics which are visible to the network users.

Channels/Channel Topics

NEW-Enterprises IRC Network supports Freedom of Speech for all users. However NEW-Enterprises IRC Network is a family oriented network and as such channels whose sole purpose is of a Adult Nature shall be set to private (+p) or secret (+s). Due to recent offensive and harrassing topics in public channels the list of words contained in the following link will be considered inappropriate for public channels. As noted above harrassing channel topics are unacceptable on this Network. NEW-Enterprises IRC Network has used as a guidline a list of words which are considered to be inappropriate for use on public media for general audiences.
