The Freedom-USA IRC Network currently has servers located throughout the United States.  Please see our Server List Page for a complete list of servers and their locations. Link apps for servers in locations already served by one of our servers will only be considered in rare circumstances.

The Freedom-USA IRC Network welcomes inquiries on becoming a member of our team.  If you are interested in connecting a server to the Freedom-USA IRC Network please read the requirements below;

Requirements

• Servers must be available on a permanent basis. Please don't waste your time and ours if you are not interested in helping Freedom-USA grow.
• Servers must have Root or System Admin approval. This will be verified!
• Leaf servers must have a minimum of 64KBS internet connection T1 is prefered. Hub servers must have a minimum of T1 internet connection.
• Servers should have ports 6000, 6667 and 7000 available at a minimum. Exceptions to this rule will be made on a case by case basis.
• Server admins must be capable of compiling and updating their servers.
• Servers shall use the latest version of Freedom-USA's IRCD (Unreal4.1.2). No modifications to the ircd may be made without prior approval.

Test Link Period

All servers that pass the initial link review will be test-linked for a period not less then two to three weeks. This is to allow sufficient time to evaluate both the server and the server's staff. During the test link period test linked servers are subject to the following rules:

• Use of Operserv will be restricted. Exceptions to this rule may be made at the discretion of the Network Admin.
• Use of the /kill command shall not be used on users of other servers except for in the absence of the Server Admin or Server Operators of the server in question.
• Only the Server Admin and Co-Admin shall have Global Operator priviledges during the test link period. Test link operators shall be issued a local o:line. Exceptions to this rule may be made at the discretion of the Network Admin.
• At the end of the Test Link period a vote will be held to determine the perm link status of your server.

We will review your application and reply to you at the email address provided in the application. Please note that this process could take up to a week.
